Welcome to the Safer Guildford Partnership website
How safe is Guildford?
Surrey has the lowest level of recorded crime in England. Guildford's crime rate reflects this. Not only is Guildford Borough a beautiful area, set in wonderful countryside, it is also one of the safest places to live, work and visit in the whole country.
We are not complacent though, and there is always more that can be done to make the borough even safer. This website is all about what the 'Safer Guildford Partnership' is doing to increase community safety in your neighbourhood, and right across the borough.
You'll find all sorts of useful information about community safety on this website. You can find out who your Neighbourhood Team members are and what they can do for you. You can read updates on our 14 project groups and how they are tackling your community safety concerns.
There is also lots of useful guidance on setting up Neighbourhood Watch groups, as well as news about what we are doing in your community. You can also find out more about an innovative new style of policing being rolled out across the borough called 'Reassurance'.

Anti-Hate crime hits Guildford Streets
Guildford’s communities will be asked to ‘open their eyes and ears’ to Hate Crime this week as the Safer Guildford Partnership’s Hate Crime Group hosts a one-day event outside Holy Trinity Church on Friday 22nd August from 11.30am – 4pm.
Hate crime is a crime and it can manifest itself in a variety of ways and is often a result of someone’s prejudice towards a victim’s race, gender, religion, disability or sexual orientation. So if an individual believes s/he is a victim because of s/he is part of a group, the crime would be recorded as a hate crime.
