A Neighbourhood Watch is a group of people who band together for one purpose: to try to reduce crime and disorder in the community, reduce the fear of crime and improve their quality of life.
How do they do this? Just by being good neighbours – nothing more nor less than that.
There are some 400 Neighbourhood Watch groups within Guildford Borough, covering about 15,000 households. And anyone can join -- or start a new one ...
Neighbourhood Watch members receive a fortnightly email newsletter, The Borough Bulletin, that keeps them up to date with information about incidents in their area; about the activities of thieves and confidence tricksters; about cowboy tradesmen, door‑to‑door peddlers -- and much else besides. Between issues, they may also recieve timely alerts to any goings-on that could affect the tranquility of their community. Click to see back issues of The Borough Bulletin.
