People of Guildford take the plunge
Families in Guildford flocked to the Safer Guildford Partnership summer party which took place at the Lido on Friday 25th July.
More than 150 people from Guildford town centre, Stoke and Stoughton attended the event which has grown in popularity over the last five years.
Andy Coumbe, Community Safety Warden for the town centre said: “The evening was amazing. Many of the families have attended each year and really look forward to it. It’s a great community event which brings so many people together in a very ‘cool’ environment.”
The event was funded by the Safer Guildford Partnership and police officers, police community support officers and community safety wardens were on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
Charlotte Killick, Police Community Support Officer, said: Everyone had such a great time and we had superb weather and the children tucked in to lots of free fruit which was available to encourage healthy eating.”
