Mess in Ash will not be tolerated is the clear message being sent out by members of the Safer Guildford Partnership who are taking action by holding a litter and dog fouling awareness day (26 October) as part of Guilford Borough Council’s commitment to creating a cleaner, safer, greener Guildford.

The awareness day is being held in response to local residents’ concerns of unacceptable behaviour and community standards in Ash.

Jo Packman, Community Safety Warden for Ash Parish said: “This is a great opportunity to work with the local Neighbourhood team to take on board the concerns of the community and really do something about it. We hope the day will reinforce the fact that if people want to live in nice surroundings, everyone can play their part.”

Jo Packman and Lesley Telford-Gillies will be joining Gary Kirk, Environment Enforcement Co-ordinator, and Pete Burnage, Guildford Borough Council’s Dog Warden and members of the local community.

This initiative is part of Guildford Borough Council's commitment to improving residents’ local surroundings, by focusing on issues that matter most to them such as a cleaner, safer and greener environment.
